Happy Easter Everybody. We hosted an Easter Egg Hunt and Brunch for our old playgroup friends and here are some pictures a friend took. (Thank goodness someone got pictures!)
Here's Julia with her basket -little does she know, many candy filled eggs await her in the back yard!
Charlotte and her friends, Malea and Lillian march around the table.
Charlotte got a licorice stick, a little chocolate chicken, and some soap in her Easter basket this morning. She loved looking around the house for hard boiled eggs, too.
We had quiches: mushroom shallot, spinach bacon, and leek gruyere, and mimosas, potatoes, and fruit. Good food. Good friends!
Wow, an egg hunt is FAST. Within a few minutes, all the families were gathered on some blankets checking out the loot. My friend Amanda took tons of pics of the hunt -I'll put those on the blog next time.
JBug and her basket. The Easter Bunny brought her a pineapple and a heart shaped soap this morning.
Charlotte and Lillian -what a smile on Charlotte's face! Charlotte is so happy to have friends visit...
Last Friday, Jodie invited CB to go to the library for story hour with her and Lillian. Charlotte was still lounging around in her pajamas when I asked her if she wanted to go. She got dressed so fast and told me that she was sure she didn't need me to go with. She left with her purse (library card tucked inside) and a little book bag. How confident, how "big girl". She really is fond of Jodie, too. She's a nice mom to hang out with.
Another great thing about today: THE WEATHER. We were rather disappointed to wake up to dark skies and showers this morning (seeing that we were hosting an egg hunt!), but then, amazingly, it cleared and the sun came out and it was actually WARM. It was wonderful.
more soon! Hope you had a great day, too.
