Gill's by the Bay

After our tea party, we needed lunch, so Charlotte and I went to a town south of Eureka, King Salmon, a small bay front town where all the streets are different kinds of fish. Gill's is located on Halibut Street.  The place is full of crab shells and dried out puffer fish and all the traditional relics you find in a seafood restaurant, but it seems so much more authentic being in an old fishing town and looking out on the Humboldt Bay.
CB had her first clam chowder (with little crackers, of course) and her first fish and chips. She was pleasantly surprised to find out the chips are FRENCH FRIES.
Almost all of the diners seemed to be over the age of 50... So, little Charlotte kind of stuck out in her hot pink dress with hot pink tights and hot pink sandals. She drew quite a bit of attention just by sitting there -and one lady came over and gave Charlotte a quarter, "This is for a little girl who is waiting so patiently for her food."
Here's a picture from the garden outside.
