July garden

I took these pictures before leaving on our two week trip around California.  I wanted to be sure to document how things looked before we left so we could compare when we got back.
The sweet peas were at their peak.  At this point, at the beginning of August, they've gone to seed.  We're planning on collecting seeds to save for next spring!
Dahlias, Hollyhocks, Scabiosa, Artichoke... and more.
Linum (Flax):
In this picture, these plants are a third of the size as they are now... Borage, Sunflowers, Scarlet Runner Beans, Cherry Tomatoes, Romanesco Zucchini...
Borage attracts BEES, lots of bees.
Sunflowers!
Little girls eating Borage flowers.

I love pansies, there are so many different varieties.
They work around the bees, picking flowers.
